Acacia Mining is the largest gold producer in Tanzania and has been operating in the country for over a decade. During that time Acacia Mining have produced over 9 million ounces of gold from a combination of open pit and underground mines.
The portfolio comprises three producing mines, all located in north-west Tanzania, together with several exploration projects at various stages of development, including exploration land holdings in the greenstone belts in Western Kenya, Western Burkina Faso and Western Mali.

CEO Peter Geleta discusses the company's recent half year results which saw the company deliver a strong operational performance, producing 254,759 ounces of gold at an all-in sustaining cost of US$945 per ounce. The company's priorities are on optimising performance across all areas of operations as it manages through the uncertainty of the operating environment and the ongoing dispute with the Government of Tanzania.
