Kibo Energy PLC is a multi-asset, Africa – focused energy company positioned to address the acute power deficit that currently significantly impedes economic growth in Sub-Saharan Africa.
Kibo is developing three thermal power projects: the Mbeya Coal to Power Project in Tanzania; the Mabesekwa Coal Independent Power Project in Botswana; and the Benga Independent Power Project in Mozambique. By developing these projects in parallel the Company intends to leverage considerable economies of scale and timing as well as utilising its existing stakeholder relationships – technical, financial and governmental – to efficiently expedite project development.

Louis Coetzee, CEO of Kibo Mining, provides some clarification on the recently announced deadline extension to which Kibo and SEPCO III would reach an agreement with regard to the development cost refund. Louis also discusses the Heads of Agreement that has been signed with Opera Investment PLC.
